This cult-favourite skincare product has never left my kit.
And now it’s celebrating 30 years in the chicest of ways.
There are very few products in the beauty world that truly stand the test of time—but Bioderma Sensibio H2O is absolutely one of them. And now, in celebration of its 30th anniversary, it's back in the spotlight with a sleek, limited-edition collab designed by Victoria Beckham.
Yes, that Bioderma—the one that's quietly powered backstage beauty for decades.
My Bioderma Origin Story
I was first introduced to it back in 2006, when Julie St-Laurent, a MAC Senior Artist at the time, came home from Paris Fashion Week and handed me a small, decanted bottle labeled "Créaline"—its original name in France. She'd been using it behind the scenes for years to gently melt off layers of runway makeup without irritating the skin. I remember her saying, "You need this," and she was right.
I was instantly hooked.
At the time, Bioderma had just become available in Canada in 2007, but it wasn’t well known yet, and only in a very limited range. So in 2008, while on my honeymoon in Europe (yes, I'm that girl), I stocked up on every Bioderma product I couldn't get at home. Back then, it was like finding gold. Now, thankfully, the majority—if not the entire line—is available here.
And here's the thing: nearly 20 years later, I still use Sensibio (Créaline) H2O. On clients. On myself. It's one of the very few products that has never aggravated my sensitive, temperamental acne-prone skin. No fragrance, no residue, no barrier disruption—just clean, balanced skin every single time. And while it’s not perfect for all, it’s great for most.
Why Artists and Skin Pros Love It
✨ It's fragrance-free and ultra-gentle—perfect for sensitive or acne-prone skin
✨ It removes makeup and SPF without tugging or rinsing
✨ It doesn't disturb your skin barrier (aka: the holy grail of cleansers)
The Victoria Beckham Connection
So, why did Victoria Beckham get involved?
She's a longtime fan—she's said she uses it to remove her makeup every day. This collab for Bioderma's 30th anniversary was her way of celebrating a product she genuinely loves and uses. The formula hasn't changed (thankfully!!); it's just dressed up in that signature minimalist VB aesthetic that somehow makes a bathroom shelf feel just a little more elegant.
You don’t need to scramble to find Sensibio H2O anymore - bless - but the VB packaging is limited if that kind of thing speaks to you.
There's something kind of beautiful about seeing a product that's been doing quiet, effective work for decades get its moment in the spotlight. Especially when it's earned that cult status through actual performance—not hype.

I’m heartbroken I’m allergic to it. I can’t believe how long I was using it without realizing it contains propylene glycol.
Yeah so I've never used this before. lol
